About us

In 2001 some Seven enthusiasts got together with a few motorsport friends and founded the Seven Mania Forum to have a platform on the internet for shared interests about their vehicles and motorsport in general. Not long thereafter, a website was created (www.seven-mania.de) and Seven-Mania came to life.

Following several meetings, events, many circuits and participation in hill climbs, the next logical step was to establish a club in 2003. The Seven Mania Racing Club e.V. was founded in Dietzenbach on 01.12.2003 to provide drivers of all Sevens and similar vehicles the possibility of affordable and safe motorsport on central European race circuits.

Not only the commitment to sport, but especially fairness and comraderie are central to the club.

Thus we were able to welcome the 100th member at the beginning of our second season in the SMRC e.V. already.

Sportscup:

The ideal introduction to private club sport for all drivers of Lotus Elise/Exige/2-Eleven/R340, Opel Speedsters, KTM-XBows and Super Sevens. Two free training sessions and one full assessment race per event allow you to race on a safe circuit and to measure your skills and your street legal vehicle against like-minded drivers. The challenge is to achieve two very similar circuit times and therefore neither horsepower, nor speed is of the essence, but rather the skill of the driver.

The Sportscup serves to introduce drivers to motorsport in a safe and gradual way and to assist them in slowly testing the limits in the company of like-minded drivers and similar cars. Our events normally do not allow for other car brands such as touring cars, Porsches, BMW´s, Formel cars, Radicals etc., but rather just similar and comparable vehicles.

Eurocup:

The Eurocup is directed at all motorsport fans, who prefer to measure themselves against their counterparts in club races. Two free training sessions, an official qualifying as well the main race per event allow drivers of race cars to race on circuits booked especially for our events. As safety measure both on and off the circuit are of the highest standard and because club members all know each other, the Eurocup affords a perfect opportunity to take yourself and your vehicle to the limit in an atmosphere of total comraderie.

Here too, other car brands such as touring cars, Porsches, BMW´s, Formel cars, Radicals etc. are not allowed, but just similar and comparable vehicles.

All further details can be found in Reglement.
